Overview

The Motorfest Speedometer brings a highly dynamic, fully customizable, and visually striking HUD to Grand Theft Auto V, inspired by The Crew Motorfest.

This mod goes beyond visuals. It features a completely custom built vehicle dynamics system, providing real-time Driving Assists (ABS, ESP and TCS). Whether you are using a keyboard or a controller, the robust input system ensures seamless control over your vehicle and your settings. Everything from the gauge size to the needle sweep arc can be customised in-game via a clean, intuitive menu.

Core Features

Motorfest-Inspired UI

A sleek, modern gauge featuring smooth RPM sweeps, speed digits, gear indicators and dynamic needle colour changes at redline.

Complete Layout Control

Almost every visual element (gauge, needle, sweep arc, halftone, text, icons, and units) can be resized, repositioned, rotated, and adjusted for opacity directly in-game.

Themes

Choose from 6 built-in gauge background themes:

Flawless Input Handling

Advanced hardware detection ensures that keyboard inputs (like W/A/S/D) never cross-talk or interfere with your Gamepad controls.

Immersive HUD Control

Option to automatically hide the vehicle, street name info while the mod is active.

Advanced Driving Assists

The mod includes a custom-tuned vehicle intervention system. These assists are not realistic real-life counterparts, they are game level handling tweaks designed to mimic the behaviour of traction, stability and braking aids. They may be refined further in future updates.

The assist states act as true switches: once you enable or disable them, they stay exactly as you set them, regardless of your driving.

When an assist is Enabled, it monitors the car. When it becomes Active, the corresponding icon on the speedometer will blink to let you know it is stepping in to help you keep control.

Both TCS and ABS feature configurable modes (Mild and Sporty) depending on your driving style.

ABS (Assisted Braking System)

Improves braking response and helps you stop smoothly under heavy braking. It does not simulate a true anti-lock system but instead applies a custom brake force adjustment that makes deceleration feel more controlled and responsive, so you can maintain steering while braking.

ESP (Electronic Stability Program)

Works at higher speeds to reduce sliding. If the car begins to drift or spin, ESP subtly cuts engine power and applies drag to pull the vehicle back into a straight line. It is a simplified handling aid.

TCS (Traction Control System)

Detects excessive wheelspin during hard acceleration and smoothly reduces engine power to help you grip the road. It acts as a power limiter to prevent unwanted wheel slip, giving you more consistent launches.

Note: These are still not 100% accurate and will depend on the cars handling.

Default Controls

All controls can be fully remapped via the MotorfestSpeedometer.ini file. The mod supports both Keyboard and Controller.
